Hi The instructions for the cake I.m about to do uses pastillage which I don't have. Cake needs to be ready in 28 hours. It's for sleeping beauty's bed, can I use mexican paste, flower paste or modelling paste instead?

Pastillage it's so easy and fast to do!
It depends of the size of your bed, a small bed can be made rom modeling paste. pastillage is more for wall like pieces, if you ware making a house you will need pastillge.
You have plenty of time, as it drys very fast, give it 6 hour and it will be ready to attach.

Pastillage dries hard and crisp.
You could use Gumpaste or a 50/50 mix of fondant/gumpaste.

It's so easy to make your own pastillage, check CC recipe section and there is plenty of time for it to dry as it dries fast.
