My idea well is dry! I need some ideas for a 30th birthday cake for a man who is not into sports. It needs to be family friendly too, so no naughty cakes! Please help!

I usually try to find out if the birthday person is into anything....any hobbies, favorite things, fav colours, etc and then go from there. Without any personalized information, you could always just do a square cake with stripes in masculine colours or a cake that looks like a large birthday card or gift.

He must have some interests? Movies, books, tools, something for you to work with.

Is there going to be a big party, maybe with a theme? I would love to do a surfer/hawaii/luau cake for my hubby's 30th (next year).

If he likes chocolate....you could do the carved 3-D Hershey's Kiss Cake (see gallery) and on the white paper put " KISS your 20's goodbye!"

Hmmm... the party isn't themed, but maybe a Hawaiian cake could inspire a theme? He really likes cars, but I haven't tried to make a car yet. Maybe it's time to try!

I always think 3-D food cakes are good for men. An Oreo cookie, a hamburger, a subway sandwich, a lobster. Let us know what you decide to do. icon_smile.gif

Have you thought about a Kit Kat barrel cake? I just made one for my husband's 45th - he was blown away by it as he never would have thought about putting real chocolate bars on a cake!
