What is the best gum paste for making human and animal figures?

I just saw a video on thesugarlane.com today. Once on the page, scroll down to lower right hand corner and there are several videos to watch about gum paste.

My personal preference is Nicholas Lodge's gumpaste recipe.

i use fondant and wilton g/p . to make animals and small projects. i use pastialage to make people.. it is stronger.. i love nick lodges recipe for flowers, leaves, etc. hth

I only use fondant mixed with Tylose & Cream of Tartar. I have not bought gumpaste for years.

I am using Satin Ice's premade gumpaste right now, but several CC-ers have recommended Nicholas Lodge's, so I plan to make that and try it soon.
