Is It Safe To Attach Ribbon To Cake?

I'm making a candy barrel cake on Friday and was wondering if it's ok to put the ribbon directly on the kit kats? Thanks.

yes, it's fine to put ribbon around the cake. It isn't going to hurt anything.
