My DS has requested a pull apart cupcake cake for his birthday party in a few weeks. We won't have a ton of kids - maybe 12-15. His party is at a fire station, so a fire truck would be ideal. I just don't know how to make one at all, let alone one in a shape. A "how to" would be wonderful. Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Arrange the cupcakes (still in liners) on a cake board in the shape you want. Then lift each cupcake one at a tipe a put a little (abt a teaspoon) icing on the bottom of each liner then place the cupcake back (I just use a regular piping tip to apply the icing). Once all the cupcakes are glued down, using a large tip, pipe icing over all the cupcakes. The smooth the icing using an offset spatula. Decorate.
