but when sending private messages on CC, what is the difference between the sent box, and the out box?? I have noticed that not all of my messages make it to the sent items....does that mean that they are not received??

The message will stay in your outbox until the intended recipient reads it. Once the recipient has opened your message it will then go into your sent box.
