This is funny because I needed to post an almost identical question when I found adriana's post. I have the bavarian cream that comes in the tube. Does anyone know how long that lasts afater it is open and in the fridge.

Adriana, could you pm me your recipe. Thanks.

I don't think most custards are meant to last in the fridge more than 2-3 days. Unless you are talking about a sleeved filling as Barb1959 mentioned above (I don't know the storage life on opened sleeve filling but I doubt it is a full 12 days). Freshly made custard with eggs and milk does not have a long refrigerator life. I would remake it closer to the date you plan to make the cake. Just enjoy the treat right now!

I've been told that the sleeve fillings will last 6 months after being opened in the fridge. Never had a problem with them.

I froze mine for a month or more, and re-used on other cake, it was fine.

Sleeve fillings will last up to 6 months in the fridge. I've never had a problem with spoilage. I use a really good bavarian cream sleeve filling. I will have to check the brand.

agree on the sleeve filling shelf life. I keep an opened bag of bav cream filling in the fridge to use for samplings. It's holding up fine.
