Fudgy Chocolate Frosting

I need a recipe for something gooey and fudgy...not necessarily something I can pipe with. I'm not really looking for a ganache or a chocolate BC, but something more like the fudgy frosting that sam's and costco has on their cakes.....

anyone know of anything?

Try this one, I got it from ladybug3 and i love it!

Choc BC

1/2 cup shortening
1 stick butter
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp. clear vanilla
4 cups sifted icing sugar
3-4 tbsp. milk

thanks for the recipe, but I'm really looking for something that's NOT a chocolate BC.....something more fudgy, think canned chocolate frosting, but better! icon_smile.gif

Any other recipes out there?

1 stick BUTTER
1 cup cocoa
Mix this together until dry and crumbley, add more cocoa if needed. this needs to look like coarse corn meal.

Add 1 can sweetened evaporated milk (eagle brand)
cream this in until you have a nice smooth mix

Add 2 - 3 pounds powder sugar, and 1 Tablespoon vanilla

Add the sugar slowly until you have a stiff mixture. Thin with a bit of corn syrup to get to spreadable consistancy.

I make this way too often from a recipe I have lost. It just kinda is a pinch of this and dab of that. But that is basically what I do,

I use the recipe on the side of the Hershey cocoa can. Give me a bowl of that and a big spoon ..... then step away if you want to keep ALL of your fingers!

I am sorry, that is condensed milk, 14 oz size. Not evaporated milk.
