hi! i need to bake a cake in a hurry...i'm thinking of making a NEST cake but i don't have the pan for it...can i use a metal mixing bowl or should i just bake from a round pan and then carve? help!

I've seen directions for pumpkin shaped cakes that suggest using a metal mixing bowl to bake it - so I would say go for it. It's going to take some longer to bake because it's deep, so I would get a flower nail or other heating core in it for sure.
