My students asked me ... can you, would you, should you ... add some lemon extract to the normal royal icing recipe for flavor? I've never tried that. Has anyone?

I've used lemon, clear vanilla, almond, mint, and probably a couple of other extracts. I would be sure to use extract, not oil, but otherwise, yes I can, do, and think I should.
