I'm going to have my first pre-cake client consultation tonight and I'm wondering if any of you "old hands" can give me any advice. I've got a list of questions but I'm wondering if there's something that newbies often forget?
I'm not nervous because I've known this person all my life but I just want it to go well. I'm treating it as a bit of a rehearsal for when I do it with someone I don't know.
TIA
Emma
I usually bring a form and get details. And follow up with exact pricing. Its good to know their exact expectations.
I sometimes forget to factor in the non cake items. Flowers, cake board covers, ribbons, etc. Try to list every item.
Also, expectations re: pick up or delivery, tips for cutting the cake, etc.
Good luck.
Thanks for your reply aztomcat.
I hope I've got everything covered now!![]()
