How do I get a good dark brown icing with food coloring? I can't get much more than a dark tan no matter how much I add. I look forward to your responses.
I use Americolor brown and it works well. Also, if it doesn't matter what the flavor of the icing is, you can make chocolate icing and add more brown if you want it darker.
I ditto vdrsolo. When I want to make dark brown that's what I do. I just take my chocolate icing and add brown color to it. Unless you don't want chocolate. Then you would need to use the Americolor.
