don't know, but that is super cute!! wouldn't it be hard to give the letters a little curve so they sit flat on the cake??

That cake is the work of www.flourgirlbakery.com in New York City. They use decorated cookies on their cakes. Check out their site for amazing inspiration!! I love the combination of my two favourite things!

What a great idea.......cookies on cake.............imagine the possibilities, especially for those of us who can't design or draw for beans! icon_biggrin.gif

Can any one tell me how do you do it? Make a cookie stay in its place on the side of a cake? TIA

I'd roll the cookies much thinner than usual and ice them thinly with fondant or the royal icing. I would use an icing like IMBC buttercream or "stick" them to fondant-iced cakes with royal icing on the backs. You could insert one or two toothpicks invisibly under each letter for support, but of course be pretty careful about making sure those don;t go un-noticed when it's time to slice the cake! icon_lol.gif
