Hi, when using rice krispy treats to mold a character what do you put over the treats before applying the fondant?

I use a very thin coat of buttercream.

I've used royal icing or buttercream, or nothing at all. Depends on how smooth I can get the rice krispies.

You can also use ganache. I actually prefer using two laters of fondant.
