I am new to cake decorating and this is my first attempt at a 3D Eagle head. I think it looks pretty good, but would like any suggestions on how to make it even better. I am making this to put on a cake for my husband's military unit for Veteran's Day.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks. I am just a new hobby baker as well. The beak is too orange. I tried mixing orange and yellow together, but I ran out of yellow.

I think you cake looks great. Just an idea though, on your fondant for the feathers, you could lay rows of fondant and snip with scissors to create the feathered look. But I think you did a wonderful job on it.
