I've noticed on some cakes...there is a gumpaste topper with scrolls or so forth. Ho do you do this? I've treid rolling it out real thin and trying to shape it, but it comes out awful. CAnit be piped out of a icing bag onto a drawn template?
You can extrude the gumpaste through a clay gun for a nice, even string. You can also apply the scrolls with royal icing.
