Shaved Icing?

How did they put icing on this cupcake? I can't figure out from the picture what kind of icing it is, if it is shaved icing or they used a particular tip. Any suggestions??

It is shaved "chocolate" and you can buy it already like that. I saw it advertised in a trade magazine. It is a great look!

Thanks so much. I think I was thrown by the colors of the shavings. Don't think I've seen chocolate that color green beforeicon_smile.gif (cupcake in background).

That is a great idea. You can make your own with a bar of chocolate and a potato peeler. I've seen candy melts that color of green...Wilton is making some for Halloween.

They do look kind of spiffy. Wow could you imagine how long that would take though if you had a bunch of cupcakes to cover. Whew.
