Here's a stupid question from and inexperienced caker. How do I use a template once I printed it out? Example--I printed out a "Coach Purse" C font or some letters or numbers and I want to transfer them over to fondant to cut out. How do you do that? Please help!

Hi Jen, previously I've printed the template to the size I want it for the cake, cut it out & placed it over my rolled out fondant & cut around it with a scalpel/sharp knife. HTH! Good luck with it!

I read a post last night by a CCer that printed on the letter on cardstock rather then paper because it's heavier. She then cut the letter out with an exacto knife and put the cardstock on the fondant and gently rubbed the cardstock until the fondant began to come up through the cut hole for the lettering. She gently removed the cardstock, let it dry for a little while, and the cut out the impression. She said it was easiest to do it that way.
