I just bought a set of Fall leaf cutters to make a cake for my MIL for Thanksgiving and I put them in the dishwasher to wash them and.......now they are rusty. Any ideas how to clean them without having to scrub every nook and crany?

I never, ever wash my cookie cutters in the dishwasher. I wash them by hand after I finish with them and then put them in the oven that I just finished baking the cookies in and let them dry that way. I have never had a rusty cookie cutter using that method.

i know alot of people who dont 'wash' there cookie cutters. When i do mine, i rinse them in boiling water, then sterilise them in baby bottle sterilising fluid, then rinse in boiling water again. Shake them off and dry them with a clean tea towel, then i leave them to dry out naturally. ive neverh had a problem with rust that way.
