Spice Cake Question

ok so I have gotten an order for a spice cake. I have never made one, I have a great recipe for it but have no idea what filling to use!?!?! Please help!!!!!!! All the client said was not strawberry?

caramel mixed with buttercream is really good.

Cream cheese icing goes really nicely with spice cake.

Cream cheese icing is a very common filling.
I've also used apple spice, pineapple-apricot, plain white BC.
