Just a general discussion on favourite recipes and cookbooks. I just purchased the Cake Bible and can't wait to try all the recipes.

I am a big fan of Martha's Chocolate, Lemon and Golden cake recipes from her Baking Handbook. They are all moist and delicious!! I didn't like her white cake. It was dry. I also like the chocolate cake from the "Another Cup of Sugar" by Anna Olsen cookbook.

When it comes to icing what is everyones favourite? I find the wilton buttercream too sweet and really like an italian meringue buttercream. The recipe from Canadian Living Complete Baking book is really easy and silky smooth.

What recipes and books does everyone else like?

I love The Whimsical Bakehouse books. And I think their House Buttercream Recipe is the best.

I will have to check out that book. I am always looking for new recipes!
