We are having our local county fair this week. My daughter and I entered our first ever decorated cakes into the fair. Mine was a 3 pillared tier ocean theme wedding cake and a teddy bear picnic theme for the birthday category. My daughters was a igloo and penguin holiday cake. Both my cakes recieved a blue ribbon and my daughters cake took a second place in her division. My ocean theme cake also took best in show. This is my first competition, and I'm so happy I could bust. But noone is home right now for me to tell, so you guys get to hear it first! I really can't believe it. I get like a mother hovering over her small children with my cakes. I hated to leave them out at the fairgrounds. Wow! I just can't believe I did that good my first time out. I've only been doing this since June. Whoa, I could bust.

OH, and also I owe everyone here on CC a great big THANK YOU for all the help and info that I've gotten in such a short time I might add. I love the information age. Where would I be without a website like this one. I'd still just be wishing I could do it! SO THANK YOU EVERYONE!
