I took a cake decorating class at Michaels by Wilton. they showed us to use crisco for the icing. a friend of mine makes cakes and she told me to use snowdrift brand. it makes a whiter icing and it seems to come out better and not as runny. I tried it and it is a better shortening to use. the consistancy is much better.
I don't think any of my local stores carry that brand. I sure would like to try it. Sound like it would be great to work with!
I'm not sure if they carry it here either ... I've always used Crisco .. but I'll have to look around for the Snowdrift brand and try that one out .. thanks for sharing destiny ![]()
