I've been tasked to create a cake in the shape of Italy for a surprise 50th BD party. Will need to serve 50 people, and they've requested an Italian Cream Cake. Any suggestions?
I think it would be really neat if you made the cake three layers deep. You could dye the batter before baking, and each layer would be one of the colors of the Italian flag. So, when you cut it, it would look something like this:
