I'm making a cake for my friend's son's baptism next week and I've looked at lots of cakes and have an idea of what I want to do. I want to make a cake like the one pictures below, however I want to put something different on top. I like the cross on the side, so I was thinking of a bow on top or a little elephant. I've seen ones with babies and booties, but I dont' think I want to do that. Any other ideas? Also, for the bow and elephant, do you make those strickly from gumpaste or from a mixture of gumpaste and fondant? I am using satin ice. Thanks so much for your help!!

Ps. One other quick question, is there a technique for getting that fondant covering that is on top? The blue piece on top?

honestly I'm not sure if I would put a bow since that might make the cake look feminine. I think the elephant is ADORABLE and would be perfect. If you wanted more on the top you could add a couple more small gumpaste animals, like a giraffe or teddy bear

have elephant spraying water (could be over a baby)

showering you with God's richest blessings.

like rain from the sky, so are God's blessings.
