How do you bakery owners pay yourself? Just wondering what different methods some use.

I would say for a cake decorating business you probably won't actually get "paid" until the 2nd or 3rd year. Just my opinion from taking business classes. the person that owns the bakery is the one that gets paid last

The word sounds vaguely familiar, but I can't seem to place where I've heard it, or in what context...

I think the closest I get is when I buy tampons and charge it off as "office supplies".

I do that with laundry detergent.... hey, I wash my work clothes!

Or when I bring home a pound of butter or a quart of milk, or make muffins at work with work supplies when I have a brunch at home!

Debi, you're too funny!

I actually pay myself first--otherwise I'd start getting jaded really quickly!!!! Its kind of funny to write myself a check and sign it myself. Its not much, but its a set amount each week.
