Hi Everyone
I am making a fake haunted house everything will be edible except for the house and yard itself. This cake is for a raffle to raise money for share our stengths bake sale. I have a few questions please.
1. Can I hot glue my dried fondant pieces to the house like shingles and planks of wood?
2. I am starting it today so that it can go on display by Oct. 15 That should be enough time right. Due to health I only accept some many orders per week?
3. Can I spray it with shalaque sp? when it is finished? I don't plan on it being edible?
4. I think we are going to be selling the ticket 3 for $1 is that fair?
Thanks for any help
Kerri
Not sure about the hot glue. I would just use royal icing to glue the fondant onto your form.
Have no idea about the shellac, sorry.
As for the amount of time you're allowing, it really depends on how fast you work and how much time you have to spend on it.
Good luck!
I used piping gel instead of glue on my haunted house last year. House itself was made of styrofoam.
