Sanding Sugar Versus Decorating Sugar

Is there a difference between sanding sugars and decorating sugars? I think the sanding sugar is finer and the decorating sugars are coarser, almost like a kosher salt granule. Can anyone clarify this for me? I want to order some and need the larger granules.

Most of what I have is "sanding sugar", and it's definitely a fine grain. I'd guess the decorating sugar is coarser, but I don't know for sure. I'm going to have to check this out the next time I'm in the decorating aisle at the craft store!
