How Long Can I Keep Cakes In The Freezer?

This has probably been asked to death, but I didn't find anything when I went a few pages back.
Anyways, I have a cake due for the 27th. I have some free time this week, and I was thinking of baking and freezing the cakes. So if I bake and freeze, the cakes will be in the freezer for about 7-9 days. Is this OK, or will it compromise the taste/texture of the cake?
I have frozen cakes in the past for about 3 days and that worked out great, but I'm not sure about anything longer than that. TIA!
yes, go ahead and bake and freeze your cakes. they will be fine.. up to 3 months is ok too. but i usually use any frozen that long. for family.. they are still really good. any for outside of family.. i won,t use after 2 months.. i throw anything away.. after 3 month date..
Thanks for the replies!
I will go ahead and bake my cakes in the next day or two. ![]()
