Fall Cake/filling Flavors

I need to make a thank-you cake as a gift and wanted to make it look and taste fall-y. I've pretty much stuck to white and chocolate cakes so far, so I don't have any idea where to start for a good flavor combo. Thanks!

To me fall equals anything that is harvested now -- like apples or pumpkins etc.

I agree with the apple and pumpkin flavors. You could also try a red velvet cake or a hazelnut/chocolate cake.
