I've got three baby shower cakes coming up...here are my sketches. Please let me know what you think.

I'm sorry, but it's hard to tell what they look like drawn on line paper.

I like the last design. It has many points of interest, yet it isn't too busy.

I get the first one, it's a clothes line? thats cute
The clouds is really nice
But the last one..hmm. I would say maybe more girl things. Like hair bows, shoes, dresses,dolls somethink like that.

First off, let me say I cant draw worth crap.

Cake 1 is a clothesline yes...should turn out great...i hope

Cake 3, I can easily add more girly stuff....these are always a rough draft

Thanks for making me feel better about mine. icon_wink.gif Okay, I like the clouds with the stork & I think the clothesline will look real cute with the babies clothes. May I suggest a bottom round tier with the clothesline going all the way around like you have it. Then the top tier can be covered in clouds on the sides, 3D clouds on top with the stork delivering the baby. Not sure how much cake you need though.

So more of a outdoor play area with the clothesline? Then the clouds above? I can possibly do that...sounds good. Although, the play area would be above the clothesline...which would be weird. I'll keep working on it.

I ment for you to skip the play area on top. I wish I had a scanner to upload what I mean. Think of a whimsical design. Clothesline going around the bottom in whimsical, bold colors. That way when you do the top tier in such a bold cloud design, it blends. I hope that makes sense.

oh oh oh, ok...so more of top tier in clouds....bottom tier with the clothes line and maybe some trees, grass, flowers (not that I can do flowers quite yet) etc?

SO! I just thought about this! I'm thinking of changing one of the cakes...

Do a 9X13 bathroom design, and then make a 2 layer with my 4in pan. Cut it down and whatnot to look like a bathtub. Make a shower head and whatnot out of gumpaste. Fill the "tub" with "water" and have the baby, taking a shower!!!


Thoughts? Ideas?
