Shopping Bag Cake

Can anyone give instructions on how to make a shopping bag cake. I'm not sure how to attach the fondant to something that tall. I'm assuming it should be about 12" tall. Could'nt find anything as far as construction on here.

I didn't read the link but an idea for you is to maybe use candy clay --it has more body than fondant.
