Beer Can Cake...

Can anyone give me an idea of how to shape a cake in a beer can ..I have saw some really nices ones on here, but I have never shaped a cake before. Would I use several round pans and cut them half or would you use two stacked reg size cakes and carve it out on your own? I have to do one laying on its side. Any info would be great. Thanks!!

depending on how big you want it, I would do the rounds cut in half like you were saying. I think I have seen some and that is what they did. I have done some beer cans but not big ones. hthicon_smile.gif
