Ok, I have made these cookies twice once a few weeks ago and tonight . I followed the recipe to the "T" hoe could you not it is an easy one. Both times the dough came out great but it has this really salty taste to me , my son took some dough tongiht and said it tasted sour.

whast am I doing worng ???? is it the butter?? I did not use unsalted , did did nto say too ????? Help I need to make cookes by Friday !!

I did not add the addtionjal salt due to not using unsalted butter.

i have no problems baking at all until now !

It probably is the salted butter.I don't use the salt in the recipe either..Try unsalted butter.

I make NFSC all the time, in fact I dont even have to look the r4cipe up anymore. I always use salted butter. I usually add less salt than whats called for about 1/2tsp. I use 1 1/2tsp pure vanilla, 1/2tsp pure almond extract. Everyone raves about it.
I hope this isnt a dumb suggestion but are you sure you used baking powder not baking soda? Cant think why it would taste salty otherwise. Hope this helps.
