There was a recipe on CC forums for Creme Bouquet...does anyone out there still have it? I think it was on prior to the crash when we lost all of our previous forums...I misplaced my copy (I made a mistake of putting it where I would not forget where I put it...ever do that?) icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks,

Lutie

Hi, when I read your question so I started to research in the forums and I found that the recipe for creme bouquet is 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp lemon and 1 tsp almond. icon_biggrin.gif

A real Cream Bouquet is an emulsion and is way better then just combining extracts. Some are more ice creamy vanilla and others have a more pronounced citrus flavor. They are wonderful.

Here's the recipe I saved (haven't tried it though)...

1Tb. Lemon Juice
1tsp. vanilla extract
1tsp. almond extract
1tsp. butter extract

A little late for this BUT....

I got this off another forum post:

1 T. lemon extract (I believe she used lemon juice but I tried lemon extract)
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. almond extract
1 t. butter flavoring

If you take out the lemon extract you'd have the Creme Royal.

and...

The only difference I can see in using lemon juice rather than extract is that the extract is processed and the juice is not. I'd be scared the acid in juice would have some sort of breakdown affect on the bottled flavorings. I don't think it'd have to be stored in the frig if all extracts were used.
