have any of you found dowel rods that are actually 2" ? Or do you cut the plastic or wooden rods?

Do you mean 2 inches diameter or 2 inches long?

I use the plastic dowels and cut them with a serrated knife to the length I need.

I use the plastic ones and cut them too. Since cakes aren't always exactly the same height, precut dowels wouldn't be too practical, for me at least.
