In my opinion you can't deem yourself an "artist." That is for others to judge.
Did you ever actually read one of those topic notifications? It says "no more
notifications will be sent until you visit the topic", so................
If you don't visit the topic after the first notification, you won't get any more.

I've never felt like I 'design' cakes, but I use Cake Designer ever since I read a great comparison here on CC and I'm sorry I can't remember who said it so I could give them credit.
Grocery store bakery folks receive in their workspace an already-baked-leveled-iced cake. They pick up their icing bags and decorate the cake according to the Deco-Pac design or the store-standard design.
They decorate a cake. Period.
What most of us do is much more than that. We are more than "decorators". We actually bake/level/ice/fondant/and DESIGN the cake with the bride.
I'm the owner, I'm the designer, I'm the purchasing dept, I'm the HR dept, etc etc.
think that may have been me, because my husband and others were giving me a really hard time about calling myself that, but i was standing my ground...when i posted that, you responded that you agreed and would be using it from then on and i felt somewhat validated!!!
cake decorators are usually the ones from cakewrecks!
