Glueing Dried Gumpaste Shoe

I made all my part of the shoe separate and let it dry for a week. Now I'm ready to glue it together. I've read that water will do it but I try and it doesn't. I need some advice or tips.

I think there is a decorating glue you can buy. I have seen on you tube that some use egg white to attach fondant or gum paste. Some consider raw egg non food safe, but decorations like shoes will probably not be consumed anyway.

I use gum glue but I don't let mine dry all the way before putting them together.

I've never made a shoe before, so not sure if this will help, but....have you tried royal icing, piping gel, or gum paste/water mixture? I'll assume since water isn't working vodka or everclear may not either.

You have to glue them before they are dried completely.

Take equal parts of meringue powder and water, shake/stir well..there is your food safe egg white glue.

I use this on fondant, gumpaste and butter cream. I even use it to attach ribbon to my cake boards and cake. It dries clear and works very well.
