Making Zebra Stripe Purse - How Do I Get Stripes?

You can paint them - the are done free-hand. If you feel a little uncertain about painting them without a pattern, just draw them out on cardboard stock and pin-prick or lightly trace the pattern with something sharp. Remove the cardboard and then paint with food coloring.
Your other option is to cut the stripes out of fondant and apply them.
Yeah I'm with Rylan. Someone was asking a similar question yesterday.
Just roll out some black fondant and just start cutting slight wavy strips. Don't think to hard about, just do it. If you concentrate too hard they won't come out good. I KNOW!
I've done it.

LOL, definitely dont think too hard about it! I did what was SUPPOSED to be zebra stripes on a cake (it's the purple one in my photos) but i was "thinking too hard" about it and all the points were up, none of them down, so it ended up looking more like flames than zebra stripes! lol!
So my advice for zebra stripes: Make sure you alternate which direction the stripes point!
