Strawberry Pound Cake Recipe For Box Mix?

I'm going to be making the strawberry cake here http://cakecentral.com/recipes/1789/strawberry-cake-from-scratch for a large portion of a cake, and then there's going to be a small carved animal on top that I want to make out of pound cake. I'd like to make the pound cake strawberry-flavored too - but i want to use a box mix for the pound cake..... does anyone have an easy way to "doctor" the pound cake recipe to make it strawberry?

add strawberry jello?? I add strawberry jello to my regular cake mixes and it makes a nice dense moist cake. I would toy around with the jello.........maybe add 1/2 a box since pound cake mixes tend to be less batter than a reg. mix.

You can also add Fresh Pureed Strawberries, or the frozen strawberries in the container in the frozen food section, but they make the cake sweeter since they are in syrup, I do that all the time and my cake is fine Taste Great too
