I've used the 3D bear pan twice and have yet to have a "perfect" cake. I'm planning on making a "fairy bear" for my daughter's 7th birthday party on Sunday.

I'd like to try baking it with out the baking core, since that is where most of my problems lied last time. I was going to try the doctored recipe: Duncan Hines mix, pudding, milk and extra egg, but was wondering how many cups of batter I would need and how high do I need to fill the pan so that it rises to the feet? Also, how long and at what temperature should I bake the cake?

Thanks.

I baked my last cake without the core and it came out great. I baked at 325 degrees. I can't tell you exactly how much batter. I actually overfilled mine and it overflowed. Thankfully I had a backing sheet under it. Maybe someone else can give you info on the correct amount of batter to use.

Thanks!

Just bumping to see if anyone knows how much batter to use? I want to try and bake this tonight or first thing in the morning.

I fill mine with 7 1/2 cups of batter, it will overflow a little bit.
