Can anyone tell me how to make a duff rose? I've seen them many times on this site, but can't find instructions. I'm doing a b-day cake for a 9 year old who wants pink and purple colors and flowers. I thought the duff rose looked more 'young girl' than a regular buttercream/royal rose.
Cut several circles, the same size. Lay them out in a row with the edges overlapping. Roll them into a tube and cut in half across the middle. Fan out the petals with your finger and thumb, and you've got two Duff roses, almost instantly.
You can make them with 3 petals, or more if you want it to look fancier.
Here's a link to instructions for the rose

That's really cool! I'm gonna try it with the next cake!!
