I've never used ribbon to decorate my cakes before and would like to try it but I was wondering what to do to make it stay attached to the bottom of my cake?
Hi there, this is how do it.
First I place one end of the ribbon on the cake and use a dress makers pin to hold it. Then take a small piece of double sided sticky tape and stick it on the ribbon. Then take the ribbon around the cake and stick the other end on the sticky tape. Once its done, take the pin out. Hope it all make sence. 
Thank you!!! I kinda did something like that and it seems to have stayed, I'll have to try it your way next time, sounds a but easier but my cakes sure looked nice for my first time using ribbon. Thanks again!!!
I usually just use a dressmakers pin with a coloured ball on the head so that it can be seen and easily removed before serving.
