Wanted to say a big thankyou to all those who have helped and answered my questions with thier words of wisdom, and edna for putting up with my essay questions icon_smile.gif

Here is my first effort for my sons christening (which was yesterday)

WASC cake with Hazelnut chocolate BC, covered in mmf with gumpaste and fondant accents.

That is beautiful. If that's your first effort I want to see your 10th or 20th. That looks absolutely perfect. Now that you have that first one under your belt, the skies the limit.

What a fantastic job - no need to add "for your first one" as it would still be a great cake if it was your 50th. Your son is lucky to have such a caring dad! You put so much effort and thought into the cake.... one thing you'll have to put up with around here - a LOT of folks address everyone as "Gals" so keep correcting us!
