I want to print pictures of my parents on sugar cookies for their 50th wedding anniversary. I usually use Royal icing to cover the cookies and then decorate on top of that with more RI. In this case, will it work if I apply the edible image on top of runny RI ?

DO you have better ideas ?

I used a glace icing and then placed the edible photo on top. You can do a RI border if you want.

I have never tried it before - but it's something that I'm interested in. Thanks for starting this thread!

I had to 30 dozen sugar cookies with edible images a while back, and they were fine with royal icing. I didnt thin it down as much as I usually do though, for fear it would sink in!
