Does anyone know if home bakeries are allowed in Alaska? I checked the spreadsheet on the sticky, but there was no info on it there. Thanks, friends!

It took me a LOT of digging to find out that in my area - your area might be different - home bakeries are not legal. So, since we have plenty of land, we're looking into getting a separate building and going ahead and opening a by-appointment bakery. The main thing for us is that a commercial kitchen needs to be twice as far away from the septic tank as a residence would, so if you're on septic, might want to see if you can get your kitchen far enough away from it.

Deanna
