Okay, so it's just for our local county fair BUT I am super excited and have been dreaming of this creation for a long time. This is the dream wedding cake I never had (basically, I tried to make my own cake and it was a disaster, we had to find someone to make one for us 3 days before our wedding... I hated it). This cake is almost completely finished... I'm just going to be adding a gumpaste handle to the basket on top. WDYT???

Wow! I love it! I think it will score high at the fair! And just wanted to let you know, I think it even looks perfect without the handle so far!
Thank you! I do like it even without the handle but that handle will give it that little bit of extra. There has only been one other lady who has competed in the fair contest for the last 2 years so I'm not too worried about taking a blue ribbon (I still am a bit nervous though)... she's probably not expecting any competition... lol...
It's a beautiful cake!! Looks like a winner to me!
