Halloween Baby Shower

icon_twisted.gif I have someone needing a baby shower cake @ the end of October. The only thing she's given be to go on is use something Halloween. I have to admit that when I think Halloween, it consists of demonic things and creepy crawlies.. Does anyone have any ideas other than a pumpkin shaped cake with a baby's head sticking out ???
All help appreciated.

WOW....that seems like a challange to blend something so dark and scarry like Halloween with something so joyful. icon_surprised.gif Hmmmm...maybe you can have a picture of a pregnant witch on a broom. Or a trick or treat candy bag with baby stuff coming out instead of candy.

How about "cute" casper-like ghosts,with kittens, smiling pumpkins,etc...all "cutesy" as opposed to scary...a "talking" broom...etc etc

Why don't you do a Charlie Brown scene with lots of baby pumpkins and the characters also being babies?

How about a sleeping baby, wearing a costume (like a cape and maybe a little hat), sleeping in a pumpkin patch?

Seems that the pumpkin idea wins handsdown. SO I'm thinking of doing a pumpkin like a hat box cake with the baby's head peeping out the top and 2 little hands holding on the edge. How does this sound???
MAtbe a phase saying....that "I'm not quiet ready yet, but you can see me soon." It's going to be a little girl.

The new wilton decorator's book is out and in it is a teddy bear wearing a one-zee (sp?) you could put a halloween decoration on the one-zee. Just a thought.

Hi

I did this halloween birthday cake. It had loads of sweets stuffed in the top of it.

I was thinking you could do something like this but with baby stuff like teething rings, dummies, cuddly toys and little socks.
