Hi all!! I need urgent help/1 I am making a pyramid cake, the size of a transformer and can not figure if I start out with stacked square or round cakes and how to cut it!! Any help? Thanks
Ginger, I am by no means great at this, but I made a pyramid shaped cake for a friends daughter and I started with an 8x8 square and stacked it until I reached the desired height, then carved the triangle shape on all four sides. There may be a much easier way to do it, but I just thought I'd share, LOL

That's exactly what I would do as well. ![]()
Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying it tonight.

So if I am making a 8x8 squar cake4, with 4 layers, I cut in 4 inches from the edge?? Sorry I'm a little confused.
2 inches -- follow the color coded numbers.
information for 8" squares is in orange.

you want a 4" wide top on the bottom tier.
that means you cut in 2" on each side.
I got it!! thanks
