....my funky alphabets tappits! I just had to share my excitement! Can't wait for them to arrive so I can try them out.
My non-caking counterparts think I'm nuts getting excited over cutters... but I know someone here will understand and share in my delight!

i just ordered some new gumpaste cutters and i will be pestering my poor mailmain until they arrive icon_biggrin.gif

i have the funky letter cutters and love them!

I have the script ones and I'm having trouble with them....I can't get them out of the cutter and when I finally do I have wrecked them....what am I doing wrong.

hi seeshores,
i have both script and funky.
have you seen tonedna's video in you tube?
i use her crisco trick and love it.
i also take a soft brush and dust cornstarch inside.
and lastly, i let the rolled fondant/gumpaste sit for a bit before cutting.
i use all these tricks, lol. some folks find one of them is enough icon_smile.gif.

You've made me excited about them again because when I first heard about them I was so excited I ordered a bunch of them and then tried them and then I had a hard time with them but now I'm going to try them again...thanks!

i have the letter cut outs but quit using them because of the struggle... thanks so much for the tips, i'll be trying them again soon. icon_smile.gif

where do you all order your letter cutters from? I have some very small wilton ones that I picked up at Michaels but I need some larger fancier ones.

i got mine from ah cake design on the web, but you can get them at most cake sites. i like ah because they ship fast and try and keep things reasonably priced.

I bought all of the tappits I could find at ICES, used them for the first time today - took some trial and error, but I finally got it. I didn't know Edna had a vdieo for them, I will go and check it out - I know why they call them tappits! icon_lol.gif
